Nagaland lies within the eighteen bio-diversesity hotspot of the world and is well known for its floral ric
hness both wild and cultivated. Orchidologists have identified - more than 350 species of wild orchids alone some of which are endemic.
Nature could not have been kinder to Nagaland, sometimes
referred to as the 'Switzerland of the East'; the exquisitely picturesque landscapes, the vibrantly colourful sunrise an d sunset, lush and verdant flora- this is a land that represents unimaginable beauty, moulded perfectly for a breathing exprience.
This is the valley immortalized by Vikram Seth of suitable Boy fame in his Beastly Tales from here and there in the poem entitled" The elephant and the Tragopan".
